Maison Bleue

Maison Bleue | An 18th century palace built 1900, this house belonged to a judge and famous professor, Mr Bel Arbi El Alaoui. The famous Moroccan philosopher Lahbabi Aziz grew up here, he was nominated for the Nobel philosophical award. The Architecture of the Riad Maison Bleue is of pure Andalusian style with sour orange trees surrounding the swimming pool in the ground floor patio. Around the same patio are pillars of blue and green mosaiques. It is the place of peace and relaxation worthy of the thousand and one nights. The knowledge of our craftmen is demonstrated in curved plaster, curved cedar wood , moroccan tails and also by the pieces of furniture, Arabo-Andalusian penmanship and fabrics recalling the environment of the Master key.
On the top floor is a terrace and winter garden surrounding a fountain, overlooking a part of the Medina ramparts, and the weapons museum wich was formerly a fort of the Merinide dynasty.
