Simple Shoes | Eric Meyer, an irreverent, young, California dude, with a sense of humor, had a creative idea for a shoe company in 1991. He wanted comfortable, casual shoes that were minimally-hyped, anti-stereotyped and authentic. The result was Simple. According to Eric, the whole thing started because he had trouble finding cool shoes. The only good ones that he found were at thrift stores and they weren't in his size. So he put all of the "squishy comfy parts into good old classic styles but then tweaked them a bit so they didn't look too normal." Simple's O.S. Sneaker a definite American Classic remains one of the company's bestsellers and most imitated styles.
