Cinema Paradiso - Amsterdam

Cinema Paradiso | Sinds de opening is deze trattoria ‘in een grote, open ruimte zonder ramen’ ‘tjokvol jonge, hippe mensen, type soapster’. Eigenaar is de zoon van de ‘BN-ste Italiaan van Amsterdam: D’Antica’. Ook hier een ‘uitgebreide keuze pure en eerlijke gerechten’. Van bruschetta tot scroppino, ‘weer eens waar voor je geld’. Bediening varieert ‘van schuchtere Italiaan tot vlotgebekt blondje’. Helaas is reserveren niet mogelijk maar alvast ‘borrelen in het cafégedeelte is beslist geen straf’. Cinema Paradiso is a trendy and spacious restaurant in the Jordaan: the place to be these days. Don’t even try to come past 7 PM as the restaurant is completely full after 6 PM. In the beginning ‘Cinema’ was ruled by soapies, soccer players and other pretentious people, but after a while the crowd finally found it’s way to the former art cinema at the Westerstraat. The menu is simple but very tasty containing huge pizza’s, great pasta’s and an extensive list of delicious small starters. No reservations and closed on Monday.
