Musée de la Mode et du Textile

Musée de la Mode et du Textile - This museum houses some 16 000 costumes going from the 16th century to the present day, and representing the joint collections of the UCAD and the UFAC. In addition, it has some 35 000 fashion accessories and 30 000 pieces of fabric - in all, 81 000 items evoking the development of clothing from the Régence period in France to the present day, along with the development of the textile industry since the 14th century. Of these pieces, 90% were donated by private individuals, designers or manufacturers. Every year, the musée de la Mode et du Textile presents several exhibitions of its collection within a specifically designed setting.
The Centre de Documentation de la Mode et du Textile is open by appointment.
