Co-owners Adela King and Emily Evans both come from fashion backgrounds - Emily managed International sales for designers Elspeth Gibson and Catherine Walker and Adela was a PR Account Manager for both Halpern Associates and Stoke Park Club. When Adela fell pregnant with her first baby, the endless search for cool maternity wear began and the idea for 9London was born. Based on the philosophy that women want to continue to wear the same stylish designer clothes whilst pregnant, 9London approached their favourite designers who then adapted designs from their current collections creating the most directional maternity wear to date. Shortly after opening, a surge of celebrity pregnancies were announced. The media interest was relentless as was the pressure to look good through out their pregnancy. 9London's business was well and truly founded with customers including Elizabeth Hurley, Kate Moss, Natasha Hamilton, Christina Estrada, Sharleen Spiteri, Tilly Boone, Tamara Mellon, Claudia Schiffer, Elle Macpherson and Donna Air all shopping for their maternity fashion fix. With the best selection of designer maternity wear the country has to offer, 9London give a complete personal shopping experience (from maternity bras to party dresses) to a very exclusive customer, operating on a strict appointment only basis.
