Chi ha paura

The Chi ha Paura.? foundation i.e. Marijke Vallanzasca, Gijs Bakker presented a project under the name a 'Sense of Wonder'. Industrial produced jewelry is often non-poetic in nature. Sense of Wonder wanted to change this by asking designers to think about a perspective which is not just purely functional and material but is more than that. Product and jewelry designers - from The Netherlands and abroad - have been invited to send in a design for a reproducible piece of jewelry, with a vision and/or new technology which will evoke Sense of Wonder. The project is a more detailed implementation of the Chi ha Paura.? foundation objectives, i.e. the stimulation of conceptual jewelry, which is often more than jus decoration. In other words, jewelry in which the choice of material is subject to the idea.
