black lily was founded in september 2007 by inge kindberg & june maria stevn. today the company is runned by june & the wonderful team of 7 persons, whom handles all aspects of the company including design, production, QC, marketing, sales and warehouse/deliveries. we are situated in an old backyard factory with rough ceilings and painted concrete floors in aarhus, denmark.

"creating accessories at unique prices with respect for quality & individuality"

we like the contrast in the combination of our name and logo. the "lily" itself is feminine, fragile and organic where as "black" sets the mind towards fashion, roughness, independency and being cool. mixing these words and the drawing of an edgy lily combines what black lily is: a brand who likes the contrast in everything we do.

black lily is a universe of two girls. the name and logo is representing these two personalities, which we are designing for: black fashionista: a rough, edgy and more fashion kind of girl
lily bohemian: a feminine, colourful and more laid back girl our world is always in black and white and with leather and flowers. we prefer the mix of wood and concrete, silk and washed leather, industrial hangers and larch branches and the like.

black lily offers a wide range of accessories going from fur muffs to rough leather jewellery to silky scarves to "to die for" leather bags & shoes. we love designs, which contain the contrast of both the feminine and the edgy look, like a silk scarf combined with washed leather edges.

we want to build individual relationships, be close to our suppliers, stores, agents and employees it is important to find the right partners and to want the relationship. rather having one less partner than having the wrong partner.
