Cara Landy started designing and creating handbags at the age of 14. During high school, a friend suggested that she show them to a boutique in their hometown of West Hartford, Connecticut. The owner of the boutique loved the bags and was impressed with Caras level of creativity and sewing skills at such a young age. Without second thought she decided to take on Caras first collection and sell them in her store. Almost ten years later, Cara still sees people walking on the streets carrying the bags she made in that first collection.
