Ananas

Ananas is the design team of Jennifer Baum Lagdameo and Miwako Washio. While living in the Philippines, Jennifer was inspired by the indigenous materials and textile techniques. Her first experiments were with pina (pineapple fiber) and she soon started a small business designing and selling shawls. She teamed up with her designer friend, Miwako and together they started making bags and accessories using the natural materials that they loved, developing their signature abaca fabric. They have recently begun expanding beyond abaca into leather.
Ananas designs are fresh yet elegant, incorporating vibrant colors with clean simple lines. Ananas products are available in the US, Japan and resort destinations such as the Caribbean and the Philippines.
