Abbey Branch | A dream of her great-grandmother’s handbag was all the inspiration needed for the birth of the abbey branch collection. A pattern full of rhythm & movement, the fictitious tote was a perfect combination of fashion, art and architecture. Thus began her quest to create the bag of her dreams. Building on her debut collection featuring vinyl designed by Karim Rashid, this quest has currently led her to Knoll® Textiles. . . Abbey’s influences are Donald Judd, from her native hometown of Alpine, Texas, as well as her entrepeneur father Bob Ward and, of course, her great-grandmother, Margaret, an accomplished artist. Maintaining a high level of involvement in the arts and architecture communities, she spends time between her residences in Houston and LA with her husband and 2 daughters.
