Boffi has achieved a valuable role in the international market and is, among Italian companies, the largest experter in the top range. In the world the name Boffi equals top-quality kitchens, although the company's production offers a much wider range: three areas of activity, kitchens, bathrooms (furniture and units, including sanitary fittings, taps, accessories, lights and mirrors)and norbert wangen (a German kitchen company, acquired in 2003). The careful workmanship which has always been a feature of the Boffi production has its roots in the traditional techniques of artisan carpentry, counter pointing with innovative components entrusted to the most advanced technologies. The company was the first to succeed increating style in kitchen furniture, in a marriage of impeccable design and constructive quality. In over sixty years of activity Boffi's planning and production path has drastically changed the aspect of kitchen space, with specially studied furniture exploiting the everyday to advantage, overcoming the concept of an antiseptic and completely functional service room. An experimental path to which designers and architects of the calibre of Sergio Asti, Luigi Massoni, Sergio Favre, Antonio Citterio, Paolo Nava, Pepe Tanzi, Piero Lissoni and Marc Sadler have given of themselves so that Boffi products are exhibited in some of the most famous museums, from the New York MOMA to the Louvre in Paris and the Triennale of Milan.
Boffi continues to collaborate with famous designers: Claudio Silvestrin (designed I Fiumi series), Jeffrey Bernett (Box, Quad), Marcel Wanders (Pipe, Gobi). Everything began in 1934, in the workshop of the Boffi family, followed by the first factory founded in194 by the brothers Dino, Pier Ugo and Paolo. At the beginning of the fifties experimental planning and advanced production process research was chosen as the path to follow, an innovative idea for kitchens that has accompanied the development of the company to the present day.
