His knowledge and expertise extends from the initial stages of conceptualizing through production. Charles' hands on approach is what sets him apart from his competition. He is the first to examine every style that comes through the warehouse door. He even ensures the quality by "test marketing" each new design on fit models in the corporate office. Only after he can ensure the quality does it reach the retail floor. Charles also spends a tremendous amount of time in the factories. He always has his eyes out for the next exciting trend. But Charles' day does not end in the office. After work he can often be found in one of his local retail stores talking to customers to get their feedback. It is this unending commitment to quality, care and customer that has allowed Charles David, in the thirteen years since its inception, turn a small import/export business into today's industry leader. Nathalie Marciano is a design consultant for Charles David. She started her career, as the creator of the Nathalie M line, which put Charles David on the map with sexy, fashion forward higher line using interesting fabrications and innovative heels. Her education in the shoe industry began when she attended the AFPIC School of Shoe Design in Paris and returned to Los Angeles as principal designer of Charles David. Presently as design consultant, she has focused her attention on product development for the three current lines, Charles David, Charles by Charles David and Exchange by Charles David.
