Benoît Méléard

Benoît Méléard presents shoe shows in Paris since October 1998 during the Prêt-à-porter. He is to this date the first and only one shoe designer to present his creations during the Paris fashion shows; bringing up shoes, wrongly considered as accesories, to the same level as the clothes. After having worked for famous brands and young new clothes designers he launches his own shoes collection: new volumes, unique models and limited color codes became his signature. He often refers to the work of the fifties, sixties and seventies american shoe designer Beth Levine as an inspiration and a model of work. As Benoît's work is much linked to the Art scene, is has collaborated to several Art exhibitions and his creations are shown in famous places like the Pompidou Center in Paris. Benoit Meleard creates luxe shoes collections.
