The style resonated. By 1864, Bally had a turnover of more than one million Swiss francs. By 1880, the company was selling across Europe, the Middle East and the Americas, and by 1892, Bally was producing over two million pairs of shoes a year. The first truly global luxury goods company was born. Shoes contain the same sensibility of comfortable luxury that the bag collection conveys. Antiqued leather shoes with contrasting stitching, drivers in crocodile and natural python and shearling boots with stacked heels are all crafted in the Bally tradition of Swiss precision. Metallic leather pumps with removable fur pom-poms and fur hiking boots add a modern twist to Bally’s classics. Although highly functional construction details, tassels, studs, and hardware in gold and palladium are bountiful, it is in the techniques applied such as rubber soles and reinforced stitched soles that produce shoes of superior performance. The ready-to-wear is designed by Luca Ragonese while the accessories and shoes are designed by Johnny Coca.
