Skif | Although difficult to translate, "skifo" means "blah" or "disgusting" in Italian. The term "skif" does not describe our clothing--only the way designer Nina Ganci speaks Italian. Skif has been making functional, free-form sweaters and separates for women and men for a decade, including wardrobe pieces for The Matrix. The Skif collection is trendless, but always changing. The uncontrollability of Nature is our inspiration; we love and use primarily natural fibers, including yarns imported from Italy, Belgium, Turkey and Ireland. We also create cut-and-sew pieces from Bemberg rayon, cotton and fine linen. Each item of clothing is one-of-a-kind and can be worn upside down, backwards, inside-out, wrapped, draped or layered. Our colors range from earthy greens and browns to bright jewel tones such as turquoise and orange.
