Silverjeans - 1921 Jeans

Silverjeans - 1921, an international denim brand originating in Canada, has announced plans to collaborate with local Japanese artist Takuto Mochizuki for a collection of Japanese denim art. The budding Tokyo street artist known simply as Taku has artistically embellished a selection of 1921 jeans from the Fall 2005 men’s and women’s collection. 1921 will exclusively distribute the Taku “Art Collection” to select retailers in the United States in an effort to increase international visibility of a truly unique denim art form.
“The chance meeting of a young man who turned his pair of 1921 jeans into a work of art led to a business relationship of mutually interdependent creative talents between myself and Takuto Mochizuki,” says Allan Kemp, denim interpreter for 1921.
