"Our wardrobe choices should be simple." Following her graduation from Montserrat College of Art in the mid 70's, Sigrid began her career as a weaver. Inspired by her experience with color and pattern, she developed her unique printing technique for textiles into a small business and found that this natural artistry had broad appeal. In 1984, she founded the brand that bears her name. The combination of Sigrid's sensitivity to design and the artistic styling found in her trademark novelty prints and knitwear have helped the company grow beyond her wildest imagination. It is through this designer's eye that we understand fashion as an art form. "I want my training as an artist to come through in my designs," says Sigrid. In 20 years, Sigrid has broadened the scope of her design from casual resort wear to a lifestyle collection of year-round sportswear. This multi-divisional sportswear brand includes: SIGRID OLSEN, the core apparel brand encompassing versatile everyday sportswear with an emphasis on color and novelty.
