It all started in 1981 when Mrs. Lene Sand started out by designing clothes in Silk. Her designs immediately became popular and she began to design styles in other exquisite fabrics. Her first collection, Lene Sand, provided styles for the contemporary woman with innovative fabrics and detailing allowing a fashionable statement that is striking, yet feminine. 1989 saw the launch of Sand Men, offering a wide range in formal shirts and suits produced by the finest craftsmen available. Four years later the casual wear collection Basic for women was launched and was followed by Blue Label, casual wear for men, and SPO, luxurious design for men.
