RÅH

Rah of Scandinavia | RÅH stands for origin, roots, Scandinavian culture and history, raw material and quality. We create and design Swedish products and wanted the name of the company to reflect and sound Swedish, therefore we chose a name which incorporated the essence of Sweden - "Å". Rå as in "Siren of the Woods". The "Rå" in Swedish mythology and culture has many guises and names. There is much mystic surrounding this magical seductive female figure. Different parts of Sweden have different ideas surrounding her, in the south of Sweden it was claimed that her back was hollow whilst in the northern part of Sweden it was said that she had a tail. She did however, rule the forest and the creatures that roamed there. The Siren could be kind but just as equally cruel. Those whom she liked could reckon with success in hunting. (The story of the Siren of the woods can be found in the Swedish book "Älvor och andra väsen", which relates back to Nordic mythology.) Our designs incorporate the Swedish and Scandinavian culture and are inspired by the patterns and details which exist in the Same culture. The RÅH Collections are available in the more exclusive boutiques which reflect our ideas and profile, both within Scandinavia and beyond.
