Naisten Pukutehdas was founded in May 1919 by Aino Rosendahl, the grandmother of the present managing director, Risto Rosendahl. Since that date, the company has remained in the same family ownership. The company began by producing ladies coats, suits and furs but during the 2nd World War, production was given over to the war effort when snowsuits were made for the Finnish Army. After the war, the manufacture of ladies and children's indoor and outdoor clothing was resumed. The company currently exports both labels NP+Collection and NoProblem, to Sweden, Norway, England, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland and Russia; these exports currently account for over 70% of production.
