Lee Jeans | BFounded in 1889, Lee Jeans is a leading international retailer and manufacturer of workwear, western wear and casual wear. Lee's products fall under the Lee Jeans, Lee Riveted, Lee Dungarees, One True Fit and Lee 1889 brand names. Headquartered in Merriam, Kansas, near Kansas City, Lee Jeans currently employs more than 400 people across the United States. Buddy Lee started his first gig in the early 1920's hanging out in the window of the Dayton Company Department Store on Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He'd deck himself out in the latest Lee fashions to spend time advertising Lee apparel and celebrating most any big day in town. In 1923, Lee began selling plaster likenesses of Buddy to men, women and children from coast to coast. Around 1960, the Buddy Lee dolls retired to the annals of time until recently, when we began featuring him in our ad campaigns for Lee Dungarees. Lee Jeans. The 'Make History' campaign is an inspiring call for individuals to take action, to make their own history, and in doing so contribute in a positive and dynamic way to the community at large. The 'Make History' campaign is seeking to actively encourage positive empowerment. The campaign showcases Lee's directional X-Line collection featuring innovative new fits such as, the Ripley Patch for men, styled with graphic tees. For women, Cade Patch also worn with graphic tees. 'Repairing Broken Hearts', features a young couple surrounded by a natural, woodland environment at the edge of a cliff. This couple feature as champions of love who are physically sewing up, repairing, healing and offering comfort to their own broken hearts. 'The aim of 'Make History' is to engage consumers, inspiring them to take action and to make their own 'history'. The campaign shows how history can be made in a personal way, how seemingly small actions married with passion can transform each individuals history.
