Dutch designer Marjanne Kalf, who currently calls Miami Beach her home, shows her passion for luxurious fabrics and vintage jewels with collections that often include silks, velvets and beaded textiles. “I design garments that stand out in a crowd, yet are very easy to wear,” she says. “Since I live in on the beach, I often observe the way beautiful women show and conceal their bodies. That inspires me to use a lot of silks so women feel feminine and bold colors to lift their spirits. ”Kalf also adds unique touches to every piece, often employing vintage beads and satin closures.
