Björn Borg

Björn Borg | Since 1997, WBM has successfully developed the Björn Borg brand on the basis of an exclusive trademark license granting the right to produce, market and sell Björn Borg products in all countries worldwide. The brand is characterized by quality products with a creative and innovative design influenced by the sporty heritage that the name Björn Borg conveys. Today, the brand stands increasingly on its own merits and is associated more and more with underwear and footwear, etc. and less with Björn Borg as a person. The Bjorn Borg brand occupies a strong position in existing markets and is, within its segment, market leader in men’s underwear. Operations have expanded profitably and WBM has been able to successfully establish the brand internationally. The Netherlands, where approximately 25 percent of sales are generated today, is an example of this. Björn Borg is niet alleen een klinkende naam als het gaat om mode, hij heeft ook zijn sporen verdiend in de sport. Na een glansrijke carriere als tennisser besloot de Zweed in de jaren tachtig zijn geluk te beproeven als zakenman. Hij begon een eigen kledinglijn, maar kwam er al gauw achter dat ondernemen andere talenten vereist dan tennissen. In 1987 gaf hij daarom zijn naam in licentie aan de Scandinavion Sourcing and Design Group in Stockholm. Deze organisatie lanceerde Bjorn Borg Underwear, en bouwde het merk uit tot wat het vandaag de dag is. Björn Borg is verkrijgbaar in grote delen van Europa. Sinds 1993 wordt het merk gedistribueerd in Nederland en Belgie. Het assortiment omvat bodyfashion, casualwear, sportswear, badkleding, underwear, lingerie en bags. Björn Borg richt zich op het midden- en hogere segment van de markt. Klanten zijn moderne mannen en vrouwen met lef, durf, gevoel voor kwaliteit en humor.
