Solstiss

Solstiss | 1974, united by a determination to provide excellence and keep up a tradition, four lace manufacturers based in Caudry : Ledieu Beauvillain specialising in 12 points lace, synonymous with elegance and perfection, Victor Machu, highly creative with a huge range of colours, Robert Belot, manufacturing Chantilly lace, and Edouard Beauvillain, renowned for the wealth and diversity of the patterns in their collection, combined their skills under the Solstiss brand. Initially, the primary objective of this pooling of skills was to develop export sales. However, the synergy that built up between the four manufacturers each with their specific know-how, was to have a strong influence on the collections which, little by little, started to inter-marry techniques to produce new and highly creative samples.
Today, the most conclusive achievements of this partnership have been the opening of a Paris show-room in 1981, the creation of a subsidiary in the United States distributing the Solstiss trademark and undoubtedly the progress of the Solstiss? turnover, with more than a tenfold increase over the last 20 years.
United by a determination to provide excellence and keep up a tradition, four families have woven a unique product for over three generations under the label "Calais Lace". 25 years of synergistic work have enabled Solstiss to become a solid and internationally recognised company. Located in the very heart of the cradle of the top-of-the-range machine-made "dress" lace, Solstiss is today developing the greatest production capacity ever got together - more than 80 traditional Leavers lace-making looms as well as a stock of "Cornely" embroidery machines -to serve the most demanding of markets, that of High Fashion and luxury ready-to-wear.
Solstiss today wishes to present to you a unique know-how which, over and above the luxury, is its true pride.
