Cimarron was the first jeans brand to make the world sit up and notice stretch material. Since its debut in 1979, its products, originating in the brand's Paris design studio, have mixed Spanish culture and Parisian espirit. In particular, what raised Cimarron's brand recognition, and gained it world-wide approval was its development of stretch denim jeans and stretch colour jeans. In the late 1980s, the brand developed stretch material which fitted the wearer as though it were a second skin, revealing the natural bodyline. Jeans - comprised of the hard sensation of denim and the indigo colour, were effectively re-invented through the comfort of stretch material, the flattering "silhouette effect" from the fit of this new material, and the wide range of colours made available. French jeans were put into a whole new category and adored by the Parisiennes of the time.
