Tracey Boyd designs give femininity, glamour and a daring, self-confident edge to any woman who wears them. They may be delicate and flirty, but at the same time her clothes reflect the independence of the modern woman. Whether its rhinestones on a crisp white shirt, Flamenco frills and polka dots or a sexy tea dress covered with an English floral fabric - Boyd will have something for the look you’re after. British designer Tracy Boyd started her label in 1996. Between 1996 and 1999 the company expanded from Tracey's back bedroom in London into the best magazines and boutiques in the world, and she’s since shot to the top, being a firm favorite with celebs like Kate Winslett, Liv Tyler and Rachel Weisz. BOYD has just completed designing the uniforms for the new Japanese restaurant Sumasan in London. Previous design and sponsorship collaborations include: Clinique, Nokia, Wedgewood, Olympus, Swarovski, Moet & Chandon, Jordans cereals, Finlandia Vodka, Topshop, P&J Smoothies, Benefit cosmetics, etc. The Boyd boutique is the heart of London’s high-class Belgravia. Tracey Boyd’s designs reflect both the demure and adventurous aspects of a woman, a woman at ease with her femininity, sure of herself and her sexuality. Her boldness and sense of humor is apparent, not only in her designs but in every detail of her boutique, where even the dress hangers seem to reflect her philosophy. It’s important for Tracey to get this across on the catwalk, so a little tweaking of the designs with the help of a model and her stylist helps her with final plans. Last minute improvements for the show are never too late. Despite the glamour and humour in Tracey Boyd’s work, she has her feet well and truly on the ground. “I’m not making changes to the world but if I can make a few people happy, that’s great. But people should be true to themselves and not be led by things, find their own style and stick with it”.
