De nieuwe biologische supermarkt Organic Food for You in Amsterdam afficheert zich niet als zodanig: het woord `biologisch` wordt zelfs bewust vermeden. Mede-eigenaar Eric Verduin heeft hiervoor een duidelijke verklaring: `Wij proberen op een gewone, normale manier met biologisch om te gaan. Dat willen we niet ophemelen, zoals dat in Natuurvoedingswinkels gebeurt. Bij ons staat voorop dat de producten lekker zijn.`Verduin is overigens zelf zoon van een Natuurvoedingswinkel-ondernemer en hij is zelfs een tijd bedrijfsleider van deze winkel geweest. Zo ontdekte hij dat de traditionele natuurvoedingswinkels slechts een klein select groepje klanten trokken. Daarom besloot hij dat Organic Food for You laagdrempeliger zou moeten zijn: `De meeste Natuurvoedingswinkels vind ik primitief en hebben totaal geen uitstraling. De mensen zijn vaak onprofessioneel en zo belerend dat je er bijna depressief van wordt.`Organic Food for You, dat half maart 2004 werd geopend, verkoopt ook schoonmaakartikelen en start binnenkort met de verkoop van verse vis en kant-en-klaarmaaltijden.
