Up next a bit of history, it’s always nice to know where the legend started. In 1917 the first pair of Converse All-Stars was made as an attempt to conquer the basketball market. The shoes are not that successful until famous basketball player Chuck Taylor interferes. He starts promoting the brand and convincing the world how this shoe is everything a basketball player needs. The logo gets a new design and from that moment on Chuck Taylors name is there to stay. Chuck taylor has some doubts about the current All-Star design and because he has a lot of white in his basketball outfit he asked Converse to make the shoe’s nose white, because this is a better match with his basketball look. What a man! From mid 60’s on the shoe appears in various models and colors. From low to high and from leather to denim. Mr. Taylor works on several designs until 1969, this is the year he passes away. Thanks to Chuck Taylor Converse All-Star is a big success for such a long time. In the beginning it’s the most wanted shoe in the world of basketball. In the fifties it steals the hearts of the ‘Greasers’ (young workers) and the ‘Rockabillies’. In the seventies Converse All-Stars shine on the feet of various musicians, mainly punk and rock artists. Nowadays the beloved shoe is on top of almost everybody’s list of favorites.
