Linda is back!
Today in the studio: the beautiful model Linda Keller! Do you recognize her? She was for many years the face of Perfectly Basics! We welcome Linda and are glad that she is there again!
Another day another model and of course we are super curious what keeps this sweet beautiful woman busy. Time for a short interview.
It’s been a few years since you were last here in the studio, how does it feel to be back at Perfectly Basics?
‘Great! It’s very nice to be back, So much has changed! A new, much bigger building, different people; the company has grown so much in the last five years. When I started working for you, five years ago, Birgit (Birgit van den Beemt-Blaas, co-founder of Perfectly Basics) was still packing the packages herself. In the mornings I did my make-up myself at home and had curlers in my hair on my way to Haarlem from Amsterdam. Now the make-up is done professionally, that feels luxurious! I’ve seen how quickly the company has grown and I find that super special!’
What type of job do you currently have?
‘I am still modelling full-time. A regular client, for example, is Biodermal and I do a lot of catalogue work in Germany. I recently also did a campaign for a large brand in glasses in Belgium, that was a great experience. Now that I am getting older I realize I get different types of jobs: all of a sudden I get asked for skincare products and expensive car brands. It all makes my work a lot more varied!’
What have you learned over all those years being a model?
‘Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! I see a lot of young models that take everything for granted, I then think, take in every experience as much as you can, enjoy traveling and the people you meet. Before you know it its over! I appreciate the freedom I have and still enjoy every job I do. I hope that new and young models will do this to and realize how privileged they really are and how special the life we lead is.’
